Website and Forum Rules
This is a privately owned website and forum. We reserve the right to accept or decline your membership application, so you are not guaranteed membership and your membership is subject to revocation.
You may only have one account at a time. Special cases for multiple accounts are infrequent and will be handled on a case by case request. Under no condition will membership payments be refunded in whole or part.
Violation of the rules will result in a warning. The rules are fairly clear, repeated violations may lead to a ban, depending on the severity of the violations. Warnings will be issued by forum moderators, website owner or by the warning system. Permanent bans are at the discretion of the management.
Not all the forums are started or moderated by Utah ATV Trails and there may be additional rules or announcements. Please pay attention to the rules for each forum space you visit prior to posting in the forum.
General forum rules:
Utah ATV Trails reserves the right to make judgment calls and decisions on all of the following rules. If we judge that you are doing something that violates the word or the spirit of any rule we will take necessary actions and contact you afterwards.
1. No content, without exception, that is considered racist, sexist, obscene, illegal, objectionable, or otherwise offensive will be tolerated. We will be the judge of this standard; your opinion on that matter will not matter much. We respect everyone that visits our site and expect you to do the same. All such posts will be deleted without notice. This includes avatars. This could result in the loss of your membership without reimbursement.
2. You may not violate a persons privacy by publishing any information that is private and personal. If you need to resolve a problem with someone, this website and forum is not the right venue, contact them some other way. Your post will be deleted if noticed by administration or if identified by the offended party.
3. Personal attacks on others will not be tolerated. We take politeness very seriously, after all this is a website and forum about having fun on Utah ATV Trails. You are welcome to challenge others points of view and opinions, but do so respectfully and thoughtfully.
4. Create threads in the proper forum. Threads created in the wrong forum are subject to deletion.
5. Do not spam the forums. Only post an appropriate number of threads per topic that are related to that topic. Spammers will be warned and possibly banned. Slightly changed and reposted contend is the same as spamming.
6. Do not spam via Private Message (PM). You should only PM to reply to a PM sent to you, or to answer a post that has requested a PM response.
7. You may only advertise in the designated advertising forums. One thread creation per 24 hours is allowed per advertising forum. You may not post the same advertising thread within a seven day period. This applies to Executive Membership only.
8. Do not promote or link to your websites, domains, blog, company, or services in any of the discussion forums, unless you have the Exclusive Membership to do so. This includes starting a thread, or replying to a post.
9. Promoting other domain names or webmaster related forums (or any forum that resembles the structure and/or content of Utah ATV Trails) in your posts, signatures, or in any way on the forum is not permitted, unless it is a legitimate site and you have the Exclusive Membership to do so.
10. No charity, fundraising, or not-for-profit posting is allowed unless it has been cleared with Utah ATV Trails. There are a handful of these types of groups that prove beneficial to maintaining and supporting ATVing in Utah, these will be allowed on a limited basis.
11. Affiliate links of any type in are not allowed in posts, signatures, or anywhere on the forum unless you are an Exclusive Member. One of the benefits of becoming an Exclusive Member is that you would then be allowed to use advertising and/or affiliate links in your signature. The administrators, Exclusive Members and owners of Utah ATV Trails are the only ones permitted to post advertising and/or affiliate links in posts.
12. Your forum signature may not exceed 5 lines and 200 characters in length, and may contain no more than 3 link (Exclusive Membership). Adult links are NOT allowed in your signature under any circumstances. HTML and images have been disabled in signatures, with an exception for Exclusive members who may post 1 image and use that as a link if desired. Your signature must abide by the forum rules that apply to posts.
13. Users may disagree with the decisions or actions of the moderators and/or administrators, however, disagreements, criticism and the like are not to be aired within the forums. Please feel free to PM the person directly.
14. Any abuse towards Utah ATV Trails owners, administration, moderators or staff will result in immediate suspension of your account.
15. Utah ATV Trails does not get involved in user issues with other members or issues they have with companies. All opinions and posts made by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the forum. Utah ATV Trails is a website and content community site where member discussions occur and where members have the right to free speech within the previously outlined guidelines listed above.
16. You may not use, reproduce or distribute any forum topics or posted content anywhere other than on Utah ATV Trails.com.
17. If you have an issue with someone on the forum, take it up with them outside the forums. Utah ATV Trails will not be your referee or allow for issues to be aired via the website or forums.
18. Any member found liable for click fraud or any other form of fraudulent or deceiving activity will immediately be terminated from Utah ATV Trails.
19. Reporting posts. The proper way to report a post that you feel is in breach of the site-wide rules and/or the specific forum’s rules is to contact Utah ATV Trails, an admin or a moderator. Your report will be confidential and is only seen by the moderators in each forum and/or an administrator. This process is designed to ensure your privacy. The member who you report will not know of your report nor the identity of the person(s) who reported it.
20. Account deletion. Generally speaking, Utah ATV Trails does not delete accounts. If you wish to leave the forum, your account will remain. All existing posts and feedback will remain associated with the account. You may update your user title and signature to identify that you have left the forums or are on an extended leave. In the case where members are banned, the account will remain with the posts and feedback as well
